Wilma Finna - Login and own account

Login with Haka identifier

At first, in Wilma Finna, staff and students of LUT and SUAS choose their university by clicking its logo. Then, according to your choice, log in with Haka identifier in LUT Finna or Saimia Finna.

By logging in and connecting the library card to your account, you can renew your loans and make reservations, as well as save your information searches and favourites for example. Access for e-materials also requires login.

This is how you can log in LUT Finna / Saimia Finna:

  • Select Login: Haka login
  • Fill your username and password.
  • In order to log in to your account with Haka identifier, connect information of your library card to your account.
  • Library card number = barcode numbers of the library card
  • Password = Use the PIN code given by the library (5-12 characters), if you have not previously set a PIN code.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can get a new one from library service desk by proving your identity.
  • In future, use Haka login. When you leave your computer, finish your current session by clicking your name on the top of the page and then Log Out. Close the browser (on public computer).

    Login with library card

    Other customers of the Lappeenranta Academic Library, who don’t have LUT’s or Saimia’s user identifier, log in with their library card. By logging in you can renew your loans and make reservations, as well as save your information searches and favourites for example.

    This is how you log in:

  • Select Login: Library card: other customers
  • Library card number = barcode of library card
  • Password = Use the PIN code given by the library (5-12 characters), if you have not previously set a PIN code.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can get a new one from library service desk by proving your identity.
  • When you leave your computer, finish your current session by clicking your name on the top of the page and then Log Out. Close the browser (on public computer).

    Your account

    When you have login to Wilma Finna: Click your name on the top of the page. Now you can see your personal tabs: Checked out items, Holds, Fines, Library cards, Favourites, Saved searches and Profile.

    Checked out items and renewal

  • Your loans are sorted by due date.
  • There will be a notification next to the loan, when the due date is approaching.
  • If the loan is overdue, you get a red notification: Item overdue.
  • You can renew your loans by selecting items you want to renew and clicking Renew selected items.

  • If you want to renew all your loans, just select all items at once and click Renew selected items. Now all of your loans are renewed at once.
  • If the loan can't be renewed (all the renewals are used or there is a reservation for that loan), there will be a notification Cannot renew next to the item.
  • When you have renewed your loans successfully, you get a green notification: Renewal successful. A new due date will be above the notification.
  • If a renewal fails (there is a reservation for the item or you have a lending prohibition), there will be a notification.
  • Holds

    If you have any reservations, they are shown on Holds' tab.

    You can make a new reservation by searching the book you want to reserve and select Place a title level request.

  • You can only reserve an item, which is on loan.
  • You will get a notification on the screen: Your request was successful, or the reason why renewal failed (if you have a lending prohibition, for example).
  • On your personal account you can check your queue position.
  • When the item you have reserved has arrived, you get an email notification. On your personal account you can see how long your reservation is on hold.
  • You can cancel the holds you have made by selecting them on the Holds' tab and clicking Cancel selected holds.

  • If the cancelling succeeded, you get cancel notification. If the cancelling fails, you get a notification of that too, and reason why the cancelling failed.
  • Fines

  • Here you can see all your fines for library and the reason for fine.
  • If your fines are 10 euros or more, you get lending prohibition.
  • You can pay your fines in library service desk. Overdue fines can be paid online.
  • Library cards

    On this tab you can update library card details.

    Favourites

  • If you want to save the literature reference you have found, just click the pin-button and it will be stored to your favourites.
  • References will be saved to the Own favourites -page, whereof you can move or copy them to the list you want.
  • On the Favourites-tab you can:

  • Sort your references by title, author, date ascending or content type, as well as add keywords and comments (add description).
  • Create and remove your public or private favourite lists.
  • Name your lists and move their content between them.
  • You can share the references you have saved to favourites and send them via email forward. You can also export these records for example to reference management software RefWorks.
  • Saved searches

  • All the information search you do will be saved to Latest searches on the tab of Saved searches for the time of your current session.
  • You can save your most important references by clicking Save next to the specific reference. When you have finished your current session, you can find the saved references from the Saved searches.
  • You can remove your search results or delete a search history.
  • If you want, current contents will gather new references for you by following daily or weekly the search terms you have determined. Results of the current contents are sent to your email address.
  • Profile

    Change password/pin code of library card

    You can change password of your library card. Allowed characters are: letters (excluding å, ä, ö) and numbers. Length 5-12 characters.

    You can change your forgotten password to new one by visiting library and proving your identity.

    Personal details maintained by the library

  • You can see your personal information recorded to customer register of Lappeenranta Academic Library.
  • Personal details include the email address where library will send all the notifications of arrived reservations and returning requests.
  • These details can be changed only in the library.

  • Alert schedule

    You can update your email address for scheduled alerts on Wilma Finna. This email will be just for scheduled alert messages sent by Finna. Notice. You need to inform your email address directly to the library so you can receive notifications of arrived reservations and due dates.

    Logout

    When you leave your computer, finish your current session by clicking your name on the top of the page and then Log Out. Close the browser (on public computer).
